Back! Currently in Round 2, Week 1
Hi all! I will admit I bounced around in the “I’m starting round 2, okay maybe not! Okay now! Oh…no really” but I have officially started Round 2 and will be staying in it. I am doing this round with my sister and niece. They started VLCD on May 21st, I started May 23rd.
I didn’t want to count any superficial (already lost lbs) in this round’s progress so I put my weight on my first day as what I ended at in Round 2 of 200.2lbs. I am pleased to say, so far I have lost an additional 4.8lbs in a week plus whatever I was prior to loading and during loading, but virgin weight of 4.8lbs :)
I hope to see the 180’s by next week at this time.
I feel great as I did in Round 1 and I have not had a Tim Horton’s coffee since I started this round. I’m trying to see if I can lose faster by adhering more strictly to plan. I also plan to make this either a 30 or 45 day round. 60 was long and in the last two weeks I didn’t lose that much so I think my body needed a rest.
So how are you doing?
VLCD #5, Round 2
I restarted round 2, loading on Sat & Sun and going to VLCD on Monday. This round is not as easy for me as round 1 as having lost close to 30lbs, I am now comfortable in my own since, though still overweight by 60lbs. At 227lbs I felt horrible so seeing the weight come off and the changes my body was making was fun. Guess I just need to hold onto the reins tightly for a couple of for a couple of weeks and I will start getting that feeling again.
Anyways, I am sitting at 200.0lbs this morning :) I hope to see Onederland once again tomorrow, wish me luck!
Back!
Day 1 of vlcd. Chicken and tomato for lunch. I love fresh food and the feeling I get eating non-processed food! Processed food and overly carby foods = lethargic me. Fresh = energized.
I didn’t get on the scale this morning - the plan is weigh in on Friday morning.
Work is busy, so I must get back to it, but wanted to do a quickie post.
TOM & Why’d I Start Now?
So TOM is here, I’m miserable and realizing why I had originally set it to start round 2 this coming weekend (AFTER TOM). So I’m going on a mini-break until Monday. I will gather my bearings (save my drops!) and do a mini-load this weekend.
NSV - one of my many bosses came to me yesterday and said I was melting away in front of him and that I looked great :)
Munchie Monster
Saturday morning I woke up to my lowest ever of 196.8lbs and that should have been enough to keep me on plan but the munchie monster got me and I fell off the wagon, this morning I am 200.1lbs. I should have realized that TOM was around the corner as that is usually when the munchies come ‘round but I’m sometimes just clueless.
I’m not worried - back on plan this morning, though of course with TOM here I don’t expect to lose anything but if I stay on plan I will be fine.
Today for lunch: chicken and brussel sprouts (yes I still have a heart on for them).
Onederland :)
I tried so hard on the last few days in Round 1 of VLCD to hit onederland but the closest I got was 200.2lbs which was also my LDW for that round.
This morning I hit 199.7lbs so I have entered ‘virgin fat’ territory and ONEDERLAND :) I weighed twice this morning as I couldn’t believe the number the first time since it was so elusive back in round 1, lol.
I have to go grocery shopping after work - need food, all out of protein and need some fresh veggies.
I will say that this protocol has helped me enjoy non-processed foods all the more and when I veer off plan (I’m definitely not perfect) it makes me want to go back to clean eating since I feel so much better…mentally and physically. When I used to diet (weight watchers, counting calories etc) I still ate a lot of processed foods. While I do lose on these diets, it never made me crave fresh fruit/veggies and a baked chicken breast. I just ate my Lean Cuisine’s, low fat pudding cups, etc. Now? Give me fresh :)
Today for lunch: chicken and brussel sprouts (yes again, I’m having a heart on for brussel sprouts right now, cannot get enough, lol).
VLCD1, Round 2
I was suppose to start round 2 last Monday (loading days Sat/Sun) but I came down with a pretty bad sinus infection and was down for the count for the week. It was awful! But I’m back, feeling myself again except very tired as I got used to staying up until 2-3am and getting up at 11am…and here I am at work.
Anyways - I didn’t get to load well so I’m hoping that that doesn’t impeded me too much. I know I may experience hunger more than I did the last round because of the insufficient loading but I will deal with it.
My LDW was 200.2lbs - and on Friday before loading I was 202.4lbs, this morning 207lbs. Hopefully that ‘gain’ will go away quickly.
Today for lunch: chicken & brussel sprouts.
Round 2 - March 31 Loading
I know I’ve disappeared for about oh…3 weeks. I went off on my own and have worked to maintain my weightloss within 2lbs above or below my LDW. I have been able to do this on my own and not necessarily just eating M1/M2 foods.
I have decided that I am going to start my second round on Saturday - I do not feel that I need to let me body get used to this weight longer than 3 weeks. I will follow the full plan when I have made my goal weight but yep…that’s my decision. I am ready to start losing again.
I have not yet decided on how long this round will be. My first round was 60 days and I lost 27.1lbs :) I think I will make that decision as I go. But here’s to another 30lbs or so :)
Uggh - Ouch!
I have definitely not been following protocol and it stops today. I haven’t been eating more than I should, just not on plan in order to start maintaining my loss to date. I have gained 3.1lbs which I’m pretty sure is water weight (I’ve been eating in my correct calorie range but just not low carb, etc).
Today is my first official day of Maintenance week 1. I’m going grocery shopping right after work to buy food for this week (I’m really excited about the expanding foodlist!) and I am doing a steak day today since I am 2lbs over my LDW of 200.2lbs.
If I get back on the wagon I should be able to get back to 200lbs and then work at resetting my metabolism. I really just want to continue on with the drops, but I should follow what works and they say this break and resetting works so here I go!
LDW - 200.2lbs
I so, wanted to see 199.9 on the scale this morning. After seeing 200.2lbs yesterday I thought I would but nope. And..today is my last drop day which means this is the weight to use for maintenance :/
But on a happy note, I have lost 27lbs of fat since January 9th and I feel healthier and so much better about myself.
I calculated when my next round will begin: April 28. So for now the goal is to teach my body to maintain my current weight, I can do this.
